About

Games, straight from the browser's own instruction set.

wasmga.me is a games site built on WebAssembly, the fast, portable code format every modern browser runs. Flash games, games written for this site, and classic DOS titles all run here without plug-ins or downloads.

What you'll find

  • Flash. Flash games running on Ruffle, an open-source Flash Player emulator. We only list Flash titles we have the right to offer; you can also load your own .swf file.
  • Retro. DOS games running on js-dos, DOSBox compiled to WebAssembly. Where a game's data is copyrighted, such as DOOM, you bring your own copy.

The things the old game sites got right

Every game page has the controls you remember: full screen, lights off to black out everything but the game, and mute. Saving is best-effort, and each game tells you plainly whether it supports full saves, in-game saves only, or none yet. See how saving works.

Transparency about files

Below every game is a Sources panel listing each file the game loads: whether it comes from this site or from another site (and which one), with its size.

How the site is paid for

The site reserves space for advertising so it can cover hosting in future. Today no ad network is loaded. If that changes, we will update the privacy policy first, ask for consent where the law requires it, and list the ad provider in each game's Sources panel.

Accounts

Signing in is optional. With a GitHub, Google or Discord account you can upload saves to pick up on another device and post scores to the online scoreboards. Without one, everything you do here stays in your own browser.
