Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of https://wasmga.me (the "site") ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Using the site

You may play the games here for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Please don't:

  • attack, overload, scrape at scale or try to break the site's security;
  • use the site to distribute malware or content you don't have the right to share;
  • submit scores you didn't earn, or interfere with other players' accounts or scores;
  • copy or re-host the site's original games or design except as their licences allow.

2. Game files you bring

Some games let you load files from your own device, for example a Flash .swf, a DOOM WAD or a DOS game. Those files are processed only in your browser. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any file you load, for example because you own a licensed copy, the file is shareware you're allowed to use, or its rights holder made it freely available. We don't receive, check or store those files.

3. Games and engines from others

Games and engines made by others are used under their own licences, listed on our credits page and in each game's Sources panel. Some games load files from other websites; we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or availability.

4. Accounts

You sign in with a GitHub, Google or Discord account, and you must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) to do so. You're responsible for activity on your account, so sign out on shared devices. Usernames must not impersonate others or be offensive. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account at any time.

5. Scoreboards

Scores you submit are shown publicly next to your username. We may remove scores that look impossible or were obtained by cheating, and we may reset scoreboards when a game changes.

6. Saves

Saving is provided on a best-effort basis. Browser storage can be cleared by your browser or by you, cloud saves depend on our servers, and saves may stop working after a game update. Each game page states its current save support. Export saves you care about.

7. Intellectual property

The site's design, text and logo belong to us. Our original games are open source under the MIT licence. Third-party names and trademarks, including game titles, belong to their owners and are used only to identify those games. To report content you believe infringes your rights, see Copyright & takedown.

8. Advertising

The site shows advertising from Google AdSense, a third party; we aren't responsible for advertisers' products or websites. See the privacy policy for how advertising affects your data.

9. No warranty

The site and games are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise the site will always be available, error-free, or that any game will run on your device.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data such as game saves, arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, give notice on the site before they apply. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.
