Overview

Flare: Empyrean Campaign is a single-player 2D action RPG with fast-paced action and a dark fantasy style.

It is built on the FLARE engine (Free/Libre Action Roleplaying Engine). FLARE uses simple file formats (INI style config files) for most of the game data, allowing anyone to easily modify game contents.

Playing

Key	Action

`Left click`	Attack toward the pointer, or talk to or pick up what's under it
`Right click`	Use the power in the right mouse slot
`Q E R F, 1`to`6`	Use the powers and items on the action bar
`Tab`	Swap to your other equipment set
`M`	Change how the map shows
`/`	Show the names of items on the ground

Classes

Brute: Brutes rely on physical strength and melee weapons to strike down foes. Primary attribute: Physical
Scout: Scouts specialize in range weaponry and combat accuracy. Primary attribute: Offense
Adept: Adepts have natural abilities in casting magical spells. Primary attribute: Mental

Tips

Your health, mana, and experience points are displayed in the top left of the screen.
In the top right is a map of your current location.
On the bottom of the screen is your action bar. Here, you have quick access to your most used abilities.
You can access the Character, Inventory, Powers, and Log menus from the action bar.
On a touch screen, the stick on the left moves and the circles on the right attack.
