    Overview

Evade 2 is a first-person space shooter for the Arduboy, billed by its makers as the first flight sim on the console. You sit in the cockpit while scouts, bombers and assault ships swoop at you in vector graphics; clear enough of them and you warp to an Ace, one of three boss ships, before the next wave begins.

Modus Create made it in about three weeks as a holiday gift to friends, family and the Arduboy community in December 2017, as a sequel to their side-scrolling shooter Evade. It has three enemy types, three Aces, eleven songs and asteroids to dodge, and the team filled the console's program memory to the last byte to fit it all in.

    Tips

    1. Enemies hold their fire while you are steering, so keep the ship moving and line up shots in short bursts.
    2. Every press of A fires one shot; hold the D-pad toward a ship as you fire to send the shot after it.
    3. From wave 4, shots pass harmlessly through asteroids. Steer around them: one hit costs as much shield as three bullets.
    4. Aces flicker when hit. Keep firing as they sweep across the screen; the shield is full when the fight starts.
