    Overview

PostBot is a game about a little robot that has to deliver transmissions. Sadly the robot lost its program and needs to be reprogrammed. There is no possibility to control the robot directly: the only way to a successful delivery is to write its program. To complete a level, all antennas in the level need to receive the transmission.

It was made for Global Game Jam 2018, whose theme was Transmission, by Tobias Rojahn and Sergei Litvinenko, with art by Katie Alexander and Karen Qi of Pixelroute. It is written in C with GBDK and has eight levels.

    Tips

    1. The first level starts with Forward and Transmit already in place: set the empty slot between them to Turn right and run it.
    2. Your program stays when you switch between the level and the program screen, so run it, watch where the robot goes wrong, press B, fix the slot and run again. It is wiped when you finish a level.
    3. A function that calls itself repeats forever: F1 set to Forward, F1 keeps the robot walking until a rock stops it. Use this to fit long routes into the few slots you have.
    4. Main stops after its tenth slot, so put repeated moves in F1 and F2 instead of spelling them out.
    5. A letter flies over open floor of any length, so you rarely need to walk right up to an antenna; get in line with it and transmit.
