    Overview

Do you have what it takes to survive the depths of the Undermountain? Alone? If so, then pack your gear, strap on your shield, explore labyrinthine corridors and battle unimaginable foes to steal the greedy Dragon's treasure.

Dark & Under is a first-person dungeon crawler for the Arduboy by Garage Collective, with code by Simon Holmes and art by Cyril Guichard, released in 2017. It has three levels, the Hallways of the Dead, the Crypt of Anguish and the Dragon's Lair, each a maze of corridors with a map in the corner, locked doors and gates, and monsters that fight in turns.

    Tips

    1. Monsters that roam only move when you take a step, never when you turn, so you can turn in place to look around safely.
    2. Level-ups let you choose. Attack ends fights sooner, and since every monster's own attack does 0 to 3 damage, fewer rounds means less damage taken.
    3. Drinking a potion in a fight does not give the monster a hit, so save potions for fights rather than drinking them while exploring.
    4. Keep scrolls for the occulars and the dragon, where 5 sure damage saves several rounds of trading blows.
    5. The way to the next level is a locked door, and the gates on the way need keys too. Keep a key in your slots before you go looking for the exit.
    6. Only three slots hold keys, potions and scrolls. When they are full, drop the least useful item from the inventory before taking a new one.
